This is a lovely hotel in a good location across from Waterfront Park. The staff was great, very friendly and helpful. The only issue was noisy kids staying in the room next door and the small size of the room. But overall I had a good experience at this hotel.

We made it to the hotel after a long drive and the first thing we notice is that they don't have parking. You had to park across the street or pay the valet. So we parked across the street and brought all our stuff inside. Front desk wasn't that friendly or helpful when checking in. Which didn't make a great first impression on us. We made it to our room and the room was nice, pretty well kept except for a few flaws like certain sink areas weren't clean but all in all it was okay. The concierge was very helpful when we called and helped us find great places to go and how to get there. We ordered breakfast in bed the morning after we stayed and it was delivered swiftly by a very friendly woman and it was very delicious. If you don't put up the privacy sign you will most likely get walked in on by the cleaners. I couldn't hear her knock so she just walked in, noticed I was there in my towel, she excused herself, and walked out. ha. So overall it was an okay hotel experience. Front desk just needs to lower their noses a little and smile.

Beautiful sight of city and surrounding area with each room having a view that could not be seen by any other guests. Very private. This was our second trip and I must say that I found that the dining room was awful and very expensive. On our last trip, we regularly ate there and food was good, reasonable and atmosphere friendly. In general, I love this hotel because of it's location and friendly staff. However, I had a bit of a problem withhousekeeping changing my bedding once during a seven day stay and I was frustrated with what I felt were extra (and somewhat exorbitant) charges for what I consider basic services in such a luxury hotel, This was a special vacation for me and my daughter as she graduated from college. While we enjoyed the experience, we were disappointed with the lack of amenities we had expected for the price we paid.

We were very disappointed in this hotel. We had a view room on the 11th floor, but it was so tiny it was hard to move around. There was no free wireless and when I questioned this the desk just looked at me blankly. In a town such as Portland, where free wireless is on every corner, I found it offensive to pay an additional $10.00 per night for it in a 4star hotel!!!! The room amenites were more on the caliber of a 2 star hotel, as well. The gym was modern, however, so that was a good thing.
