The actual stay at the hotel was fine, however an error was made and they billed the wrong Visa check card for one night. Instead of admitting their error, they made excuses, changed their story and put my checking account into a negative balance for days. Instead of an apology, I was lectured on the danger of using debit cards and told that I had no proof that they made the error and they therefore were not responsible or at fault. Once they realized they billed the wrong card, they needed to cancel the transaction, but instead, they gave me a refund that will take 3-5 business days to process leaving me with no money. They were extrememly defensive and kept interrupting me. Very poor customer service. I had to file a complaint against them with the Hilton corporation and the situation has still not been resolved. What really gets me is that when the problem first arose, they discharged the pending transactions on my card, but did not tell me that the atual charge would still go through. If that transaction had been cancelled, the problem would have never escalated into the huge hassle for me it has. After all of this, management has the audacity to have one of their people call me and tell me that they did nothing wrong and I would not be receiving any compensation. That is just not right! I am amazed that the general staff can have such good customer service skills when their management has such poor ones. I hate to give it such a poor rating, considering how nice most of the staff were, but because of accounting and management, it ruined my whole experience. Also, I think people need to know how you are treated when something goes wrong.

We booked our room the night before we needed it, and got a good price. When we got there it was busy, but the front desk attendants were friendly and we didn't wait more than 10 minutes total (with a long line). The room waa clean, and staff was friendly. It is basically across the street from the mall too. Parking was an additional $9.00.

A good place. This hotel is across the river from downtown and a 20 minute ride. I had to travel by streetcar (called Tri Met) to downtown. It was free and there was a car every 5-7 minutes, even on the Weekend. Parking was pricy. Nice park across the street and a mall nearby.

The room smelled dirty/moldy-musty. Also, the website doesn't tell you that you have to pay an additional * per day for parking. If you're looking for a bargain, don't look here. They nickel and dime you. Internet in your room costs you * per day. Most other hotels offer free wi-fi. Overall, staying here not worth it.

Rooms were great, roomy. Consierge staff were wonderful, knowledgeable, helpful. Front desk staff had no desire to help with anything and referred the most simple question to someone else. The housekeeping staff for my room was awful. We ran out of toilet paper, no toiletries were replaced, the towels were not replaced and the worst part is that my wedding band and a gold bracelet were stolen. I knew better than to leave jewelry in my makeup bag, but whoever stole the items should have known better than to pilfer and steal. The front desk, when informed was supposed to turn info into the security as I had a plane to catch. However, when I checked back they had only inquired with housekeeping. They informed me that the items were not found...this I knew because I looked the room over without success. Security has been very helpful, now that I insisted on speaking with them and informing them myself. Maybe if we hired more Americans who actually have ties to the community rather than foreigners with a work visa, they would think twice about stealing and just be greatful for having a job. Insurance money does not make up for the sentiment I have lost.
